We know that the purchase of a longarm is a big decision.  We want to help you in every way by providing the opportunity for you
to test drive the Nolting longarm machines and to answer all of your questions.  Nolting is the all American made longarm made in
America's heartland, Iowa, by American craftsmen.

Our studio has both the Nolting Fun Quilter and the Nolting Pro
Series longarm.  A test drive will offer you the opportunity to see
for yourself how easy the Nolting machines operate, how smoothly they move on the track, and how easy they are to maintain.  
And, there will be time to have all of your questions answered by someone who actually quilts with the Nolting longarm machines.


You may be wondering what the difference is between standard and regulated stitch.  You may be wondering what a pantograph
is and how to quilt one.  You may want to do only free motion custom quilting and are wondering how to quilt great designs.  And,

as you are thinking about purchasing a mid or longarm, you might be wondering what machine and table features are important to
consider.

                                           Longarm Ownership Class - Owning a Nolting Longarm

The longarm owership class equips you to use your longarm by giving you hands on experience on the Nolting commercial
table/frame and quilting with a Nolting longarm machine.  This class will show you how easy it is to use a Nolting longarm system
and to equip you to really enjoy your longarm quilting e
xperience on your Nolting longarm.

The 3 to 4-hour class covers:
  • the different features found on most longarm quilting machines.  
  • the difference between standard and stitch regulated features and what types of quilting they are best used for.
  • tension, tension, tension - adjusting top and bobbin tension
  • how to load, keep centered, and adjust the quilt sandwich during the quilting process
  • the five movements found in any quilt pantogram or quilting design
  • how to correctly set up for quilting a pantogram using the laser light
  • techniques and ideas for practicing your longarm skills

In addition you will have:
  • the opportunity to try out free motion quilting
  • an opportunity to ask your questions and to do some practice on a quilt sandwich and see how much fun it is.
  • an opportunity to ask questions about business ownership

Class fee is $120 (includes supplies).

Beginning Longarm Quilting

This one on one class covers what you need to know to get off to a great start at your longarm machine and includes techniques
when working with pantos, free motion quilting techniques
, solving tension issues, pattern ideas, tools of the trade, centering and
keeping the quilt square,
and an introduction to templates.  Time is available to answer your questions.  
Two hours, Class Fee $75 (includes supplies)


Intermediate Longarm Quilting

This one on one class covers more advanced methods of marking quilts for free motion quilting, quilting borders using a panto
(the easy way), using templates and rulers for phenominal quilting results, custom quilting, and the technique for attaching the
binding using the longarm.

Three hours, Class Fee $100 (includes supplies)
