Original equipment M-hook assembly (large bobbin size).
Hook assemblies can become damaged from a broken needle, incorrect timing adjustment, and will simply wear out with time. Indicators of damage: thread keeps breaking or shredding with no damage seen on the throat plate or other machine parts, stitch quality not good and adjusting tension doesn't work.
After changing the hook assembly, the timing will need to be reset.
