Noltings "red dot" oil wicks are inserted through the top of the machine head and drip oil onto the rotating assembly parts in the machine head. Original equipment replacement. Old oil wicks may have dropped into the machine head, or have become dried and brittle preventing oil from reaching essential moving parte.
Remove the side cover on the machine head, remove the existing wicks and from the top push the replacements in until the red dot is even with the top of the machine head. Liberally oil to wet the wicks, then, only oil every 8 hours of actual machine run time.
